Ya the only thing I would bother reporting is racial insults. Just ignore the rest and enjoy the fact that you didn't step down to their level.

as people suggested, take a screenshot and report them and they'll get banned while ignoring them knowing they're not worth you getting angry about.

There're a lota racist idiots. I'm not mexican but this HA group I joined were just making fun of mexicans on vent and I just quit the team and left the group. As you know there's filters on your char name for racist names so they probably get banned for this too.

I hate racism too and homophobia equally.

People using naughty words towards me in RA for tesing my crap builds I just randomly came up with usually just reults in me going offline. But if they arent offline or DND they get a piece of their own shit right back at them for a roffle XD.

I've actually had a 3 day ban for replying to someone that kept on flaming me via PM after an RA match. I got rather hot tempered and they started crying and reported me for treating them the same way they did me. I got extremely vulgar with 'Your Mom' jokes, but nothing racist. So now I just try to make sure I am always offline, but I keep forgetting to change to offline when I load the game.

Couldnt Anet put in an option to automatically put you on offline as soon as you start the game? The only people I need to talk to are on alliance and Guild chat, I dont need PM's from anyone, just the green and orange chat channels.

It's quite odd I suppose.

I really like playing Starcraft, but I log on and every match there's "fag/gay/bitch/I could go on..." and then I log onto GW, and while it's less, it's still there.

It's just odd that wherever I go online, I encounter this. Thank goodness one of my roommates is gay; whenever someone nearby says, "fag" he goes ballistic so I don't have to hear it. I'm your average straight white guy, but I don't like hearing racial/sexual insults anymore than anyone else.

Yeah, same here. I'm gay but white, and both just throw me off really bad. But depending on my mood, I'll react in one of the following ways:

Yeah, sometimes I just go ballistic too, although rarely. I'll generally say "well I'm gay and TBH I don't like when people say that, 'cause I'm not stupid ¬¬" and so on. What surprises me is that I get apologies every now and then. But it still bothers me. I think I'd punch the guy who started saying "gay" in such a way.

We're very intolerant of intolerance. By that I mean, racist comments and hate talk are high on the list of those that we react to with speed and due force.

Do not hesitate to type /report, the use "Verbal Abuse" as the reason. Based on your report, we can pull the chat records and handle the issue. I honestly don't think you even need to take screenshots, but they are helpful if you file a Support Ticket, which is different than the /report system.

(I'm very sorry for the comments and hope your future interactions are much more pleasant!)

Well you dont need vent to coordinate e/o in AB anyways..... yall can just have fun and chat in ur own time. if u were that seroius about AB then all 4 of you would have been in the same guild and just use guild chat. thast what i do with a friend of mine... and we usually pug so we dont even speak to them and still do fine in AB.

Gaile, please please consider this.

Future interactions in RA will never be pleasant when I'm playing a smite dagger monk. I just want auto offline because I forget to do it every time I enter TA to go allong with my unticked team chat.

Or just an option to disable PM's that stays set when you quit and restart the game.

As others have stated, SS and report, wait a while for a reply and assume the best. If they've gotten into trouble before they may receive a permanent ban... And even if they don't, perhaps they'll grow a conscience and realize racism is a horrid thing and is not to be taken lightly.

I wouldn't mind an option where you appear offline, but you can make a list of people you wouldn't mind talking to in your Guild/Alliance/Friends List.

I, personally, hate when people say racist/anti-orientation comments. "Fag/gay/homo" etc. they all upset me. People using gay as if it means stupid is completely wrong. Gay means homosexual, not stupid.
Gay =/= stupid. Saying gay as if it means gay means you care calling millions of men and women, myself included, stupid for how they see the same sex.

That is not at all tolerable in my opinion.

Same goes for the change in meaning on the N word. From the racist meaning with -er ending to the "hey, whats up my friend?" with the -a. That is just as stupid, and there are my people that can agree with me.
